A portrayal of a Polish Hen I encountered during my visit to a farm in Alberta. This little feathered friend had the most incredible plumage, with big, fluffy feathers that almost covered its eyes. Talk about a fashionable chicken.
Polish hens are known for their unique appearance. These birds have a distinctive crest of feathers on their heads, which can sometimes be so large that it partially obstructs their vision. Despite their limited eyesight, Polish hens are incredibly resourceful and adapt well to their surroundings. They rely on their other senses, like hearing and touch, to navigate their way around. Talk about resilience and determination!
